Physics Student, Phillip Belzeski, Awarded Research Grant

The Boise State University Physics Department is pleased to announce that the Sigma Xi Committee on Grants-in- Aid of Research has approved a grant to physics student, Philip Belzeski in support of his research proposal Characterization of ssDNA molecules by translocation through lysenin nanopores.

Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society is the international honor society of science and engineering. It is one of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world, Sigma Xi has a distinguished history of service to science and society and boasts more than 200 Nobel Prize winners among its membership. The Sigma Xi Grant-in- Aid of Research program has a highly competitive application process and only approximately 15% of applicants receive any level of funding.
