Undergraduate Physics students, Christopher Thomas, Devon Richtsmeier, Sam Kosydar, and Philip Belzeski attended the 2017 Biophysical Society Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have been accompanied by graduate Biomolecular Sciences Graduate Program (BMOL) students Sheenah Bryant and Nisha Shrestha. This prestigious four day meeting brings together leading biophysicists from around the world to share their scientific findings, participate to career development programs, and improve education. Each of the participating students from the Department of Physics presented a poster as a first author. Their travel to the meeting was supported by the BMOL program, McNair Scholars Program, ASBSU, Biophysical Society, NASA, and Dr. Fologea’s NSF CAREER grant.
